Day 1: Bucharest, Sinaia, Bran and Brașov
Peleș Castle, Sinaia
See the royal residence framed by wooded mountain slopes. Interior visits depend on the museum schedule and your ticket time slot; allow time for the uphill walk from the parking area.
Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle)
Explore the fortress above Bran and its connection with Romanian royal history. The Dracula association belongs to the literary legend, not evidence that the fictional count lived here.
Brașov Old Town
Walk around Council Square, the Black Church area and the lanes below Tâmpa. A church interior visit is separate from the Old Town walk and depends on access.
Day 2: Brașov, Sighișoara and Viscri
Sighișoara Citadel
Walk through a lived-in UNESCO-listed historic centre, with guild towers and cobbled lanes. The Clock Tower, Covered Stairway and Church on the Hill can be discussed with your guide; interior visits depend on opening hours.
Viscri Village
Follow village lanes to the fortified church and learn how a place of worship also protected its community. Private homes and royal-associated properties are not automatically open to visitors.
Day 3: Biertan and Sibiu
Biertan Fortified Church
Discover the church and defensive walls above the village. This is part of the UNESCO-listed group of Transylvanian villages with fortified churches.
Sibiu Old Town
Explore the Great and Small Squares, the Bridge of Lies and roof windows known as the city’s “eyes”. Museum interiors are distinct from the guided street walk.
Day 4: Return to Bucharest
Transfăgărășan mountain road
Follow the high mountain section only when it is open and conditions permit. Photo stops are made where safe; seasonal restrictions can require an agreed alternative route.
Olt Valley alternative
When the high mountain section is closed, the published itinerary uses the Olt Valley return. Confirm the route and your Bucharest drop-off point before departure.
Practical information
- The published offer lists three nights in central 3-star hotels or guest houses and three breakfasts. Confirm the overnight locations and room configuration with your agent.
