Airport train access and service

The airport currently directs passengers to the railway connection via the ground floor of Arrivals, following the signs during parking works. Its published service runs around the clock, approximately every 40 minutes, with a journey of about 20 minutes to București Nord.

These are published planning figures, not a guarantee for your arrival. Check the timetable, include baggage collection and avoid a tight onward connection.

Bucharest Airport to the city: choose your arrival option

The train can suit a journey via București Nord railway station. Bus 100 connects the airport with central Bucharest, while a private transfer takes your party to the address agreed in the offer.

Public transport can be a good choice for travellers comfortable with connections and carrying their own bags. For a hotel away from the station or bus route, compare the onward leg, walking distance and total cost.

Train to București Nord

There is a railway connection between Aeroport Henri Coandă and București Nord. Search the official timetable for your date and allow time to reach the station after collecting your luggage.

București Nord is a railway station, not a door-to-door hotel destination. Check whether you need a metro, bus, taxi or onward train from there; avoid planning a tight connection based only on the flight landing time.

• Include baggage collection, station access and the onward journey in your plan.
• Confirm accessibility arrangements with the operator if assistance is required.

Bus 100 into central Bucharest

Use line 100, not the old line number 783 found in older travel guides. STB publishes current schedules, stop information and temporary diversions; check these for the day of travel.

Bus journeys are affected by road traffic. Allow extra time for busy periods, and check the stop closest to your accommodation rather than assuming the route serves Gara de Nord.

• Check the official STB timetable or Info TB for the current boarding stop and arrival predictions.
• Verify the current ticket and payment options; older fare figures may no longer apply.
• Consider the walk from your final stop and the space needed for your luggage.

Private transfer to your Bucharest address

DayTrip Romania’s published standard airport-to-Bucharest fares are €50 for a sedan with a maximum of three passengers and €75 for a minivan with a maximum of eight. These are per vehicle, not per person, for the agreed one-way route.

Send the exact address and suitcase sizes before confirmation. Airport-to-Brașov and other extended routes need their own quote; the Bucharest city fare does not automatically cover an onward mountain journey.

• Confirm the pickup meeting point, flight number and a reachable contact number.
• Ask about waiting, flight changes, child seats and additional stops before accepting the offer.
• The agent confirms availability and final arrangements; submitting an enquiry is not a confirmed reservation.

Taxi or app-based ride

If you choose a taxi, use the airport’s official instructions and a licensed vehicle. Check the displayed tariff or quote and keep a receipt; do not rely on an old online fare estimate.

For an app-based ride, check the pickup point and current quote in the app. A displayed estimate can change with demand, vehicle availability or the final journey.

Arriving late or continuing to Transylvania

For a late arrival, check the complete route to your accommodation, not just whether the first service operates. Share your flight number and confirm the private pickup’s meeting point and waiting allowance in writing.

An onward journey to Brașov is a different route from an airport-to-Bucharest ride. The €50 sedan city fare does not cover that intercity journey; send the exact destination for a route-specific offer.
