How Your Bucharest Airport Transfer Works
Give us your flight number, arrival date and the exact hotel or apartment address. An agent confirms the meeting point and driver-contact arrangements before the ride; do not assume that a booking enquiry alone creates a confirmed pickup.
The drive starts after you have cleared arrival procedures and collected your bags. Landing time and pickup time are different, so include checked luggage and any assistance needs when discussing the schedule.
Airport meeting point and contact
Your meeting instructions should identify a precise place in the arrivals area and explain how to recognise or contact the driver. Keep the confirmation available on your phone and use the agreed contact if you cannot find the meeting point.
Henri Coandă is not Aurel Vlaicu/Băneasa Airport. Check the airport code on your itinerary, particularly when booking a return ride: a pickup quoted for OTP must not be used for a different airport without reconfirmation.
Flight delays, waiting and late arrivals
Provide the flight number so the agent can coordinate around the arrival information. Confirm whether flight monitoring applies to your booking, the waiting allowance, and what happens if your arrival moves into another day.
If baggage delivery, an airline change or a missed connection changes the plan, contact the service as soon as possible. No unlimited waiting or free rescheduling is implied by the standard fare; the written confirmation should describe the applicable arrangements.
Travel time to your Bucharest address
Around 30–60 minutes is a planning estimate for many city journeys, not a guaranteed arrival window. The destination neighbourhood, weekday rush hour, weather and road incidents can all make the drive longer.
For a departure transfer, give the actual flight time and follow your airline’s airport-arrival guidance. Build in a traffic buffer rather than choosing pickup time solely from the quickest driving estimate.
The airport train: a transparent alternative
The airport rail connection serves București Nord, also called Gara de Nord. The airport’s official information, checked on 28 September 2026, describes round-the-clock departures approximately every 40 minutes and a journey of about 20 minutes.
This can suit light luggage and an onward rail journey, but it does not deliver you directly to another neighbourhood’s hotel. Compare platform access, waiting and onward transport, and recheck the live timetable for your date.
Returning to the airport
The standard airport route is also available in reverse. Send the full pickup address, preferred departure time and flight details so the agent can check the departure plan rather than copying your arrival arrangements.
Tell us about restricted hotel access or a pedestrian-only street. A safe nearby meeting point may be more practical than collecting directly outside an entrance where a vehicle cannot stop.
