Sedan or Minivan: Choose the Right Private Transfer in Romania

Sedan or minivan is not only a question of how many people are travelling. DayTrip’s standard categories allow up to three passengers in a sedan and up to eight in a minivan, but bags and equipment still need checking. Describe the whole party before the vehicle is agreed.

Sedan or Minivan for your actual party?

These passenger limits are not a promise that every combination of luggage fits. Send the bags and any special items when requesting the quote, so the actual arrangement can be checked rather than inferred from the number of available seats.

Seats and luggage are separate limits

A seat-count comparison can look reassuring while leaving the most practical question unanswered: where will everything go? Large hard-shell cases, a folded pushchair or sports equipment can change the vehicle discussion even for a small party.

Give an approximate suitcase size and count instead of saying only normal luggage. If you do not yet know the final bags, say so and confirm them before the booking is finalised. Do not assume an operator can add storage or substitute another vehicle at the meeting point.

Example: two people with large bags

Two passengers are within the sedan passenger limit, but that alone does not establish that two large cases plus cabin bags will fit the actual vehicle. Add a pushchair or other equipment and the question becomes more specific.

Send the inventory, route and any child-seat needs in one request. Ask which category is suitable and what the complete quote covers. The example is a planning check, not an assertion that a sedan is unsuitable or that an upgrade is always necessary.

Example: five passengers travelling together

Five passengers exceed the sedan category’s three-passenger limit. The minivan category is the relevant starting point, but five people with several large cases still need a luggage check.

Tell the operator if everyone needs pickup at one address or if there are several stops. The party fitting the nominal passenger limit does not automatically include extra collections, a sightseeing detour or a second vehicle under the same quote.

Child seating and special equipment

This is not a guarantee of a particular seat, loading method or access feature. Discuss needs early enough for the operator to check them. Vehicle photographs elsewhere on the site do not by themselves confirm the model assigned to your booking.

  • Provide children’s ages and the details needed to discuss suitable seats privately.
  • Ask for availability and suitability to be confirmed for the actual journey.
  • Describe folded pushchairs, mobility aids or unusually shaped items with approximate dimensions.
  • If bringing your own seat or equipment, agree the arrangement before travel.

Compare the complete journey price

Standard route prices are per vehicle, not per passenger. For example, the published airport-to-Bucharest-city offer is €50 for a sedan or €75 for a minivan, one-way including VAT, subject to the stated route and confirmed arrangements.

That example does not establish an airport-to-Brașov price, a return journey or the cost of extra stops. Compare identical start and finish addresses, the same date and the same service before deciding one offer is cheaper.

Use a complete vehicle request

The right choice is the vehicle arrangement that suits the whole journey, not simply the largest category. An agent confirms availability and the written offer; submitting the form is an enquiry, not an automatic reservation.

Describe the party

Send the passenger count, seating needs, suitcase inventory and special equipment. Keep personal information in a private message or the website enquiry.

Describe the journey

Include the date, local pickup time, exact addresses and any additional stops or fixed onward commitment.

Check the confirmation

Read the agreed category, luggage arrangement, price basis and meeting instructions. Resolve any mismatch before accepting rather than at departure.
